Izklausās ticami, īpaši pēdējais. Ko sakat?

1) The PSP was never the overwhelming success that Sony had hoped. I have a sneaking suspicion that this year we'll see an Uncharted title announced for the system. It's really a no-brainer. Sony needs to move systems and there are few better ways to do this than by giving gamers something they already love.

2) Halo Reach will have no Natal support. Despite both Natal and Reach being released at similar times, I just don't see Bungie's final entry in the Halo series deviating too far from the already established formula. They're going to play it safe, which means not including what their fan base might see as a gimmick.

3) Portal 2 will be announced alongside Half Life 2: Episode Three, and will be released this October, three years after The Orange Box. The past two years have seen both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. At this point, not even Valve can convince me that we need a third game in the series so soon.

4) Microsoft will introduce a rental service for Xbox Live in conjunction with a day-and-date release plan for all new Xbox 360 titles. Ideally, discounts would be offered on the full versions of titles that were previously rented so that you can try before you buy without ever having to leave your home. Not only would this help encourage purchases, but Microsoft would also see increased revenue that would have normally gone to other companies like Gamefly. It's a win-win.

5) Sony will release a teaser for the successor to the PSP. The major selling point of this new system will be how it interacts with the PlayStation network. We'll finally see friend lists, voice chat, and trophies available on the handheld. Titles will be download only, something that should help Sony better protect their content. This will also be the first hi-definition handheld available, with 720p resolution.

6) Gears of War 3 will be announced for a 2011 release with first details emerging at E3 this year. I expect there to be minor Natal support, though nothing drastic. It seems like chainsaw duels and Natal were made for one another. With this announcement we'll also see another incremental update to the Unreal Engine 3.

7) Twisted Metal will see the light of day this year exclusively on the PlayStation 3. The series will bring us another dark and moody chapter in the Twisted Metal universe. The best part? It will be here in time for Halloween.

8) Super Mario Galaxy 2 will arrive this fall but Zelda and Metroid: Other M will not be released this year. Nintendo has a huge consumer base, but generally speaking, they're not going to buy three hard core titles for the Wii during one holiday season. They'd do best to space these out a little bit. I expect Metroid: Other M to be released next February at the earliest, with Zelda following shortly after in Spring.

9) There will be no announcements of a new Xbox, Nintendo, or PlayStation this year. With the big three having hit their stride this generation, we're probably not going to see any new consoles be released for several more years. This has been a period of incremental upgrades, meaning that companies no longer need to develop new hardware in order to implement new ideas. Project Natal and the PlayStation Motion Controller tell us a lot about where we are in our current consoles' life cycles, and where we can expect gaming to take us in the near future.

10) We're going to have fun. In the end that's what gaming is all about right? No matter which console you prefer, or what genres of games you enjoy the most, you can be assured that you'll be taken care of. See you on the other side.

Teikšu tā, ka vismaz 50% tur ir tiešām shit, kas nenotiks. Es redzu, ka GoW3 un Portal 2 announce varētu notikt gandrīz 100%, kā arī domāju 100% ka natal nebūs Reachā. Pārējais izskatās pilnīgs rakstītāja sapnis

Abi PSP announcementi man nelīmējās kopā.
Es kaut kā neredzu to, kā Sony vienā gadā paziņo par Uncharted uz PSP, lai atdzīvinātu interesi sistēmā un tai pat laikā paziņo par tās aizvietotāju (kas, principā, nogalina interesi par iepriekšējo).

Atsevišķi runājot.. es neticu nevienai no šīm prognozēm.
Uncharted uz PSP varbūt arī ir puslīdz reāli (ņemot vērā to, ka pagājušais gads jau atnesa AC, LBP, GT, bet FF un MGS jau piedzīvo N'tās iterācijas uz PSP), es tomēr neredzu Uncharted uz PSP. Neticu, ka Naughty Dog būs ar mieru riskēt ar iegūto reputāciju. Lai gan.. viņiem, protams, ir iespēja pierādīt, ka sliktā AC versija bija izstrādātāju vaina, nevis konsoles trūkums.

Savukārt PSP mantinieks ar 720p output.. Well.. skan jau jauki, bet nedomāju, ka šogad.
Es teiktu, ka pirmā fakta iespējamība ir 50/50, bet otrais 20/80.

Par pārējo jau man maz ko komentēt, kā nekā 'neesmu scēnā'
+ Prognozes gadam par atsevišķām spēlēm (kā Halo Reach un Portal, Gears vai vēl jo vairāk Twisted Meta ), manuprāt īsti neiederas. Autors no pirksta izzīdis 10 prognozes .

Es piekritīšu, ka nebūs jaunas konsoļu paaudzes un vēl pārīti gadiņu tiks spiesta sula no esošajām + jaunie 'vingrošanas rīki', kas tām parādīsies šajā gadā.

Tas galīgi nebija domāts kā pirātisma kara cirvja pacelšana, gribēju mazliet padzīt velnu; off al the people, nebiju domājis, ka Tu apvainosies, bet nu labi, tiešām - offtopic.

Nedomāju, ka gadu pēc PSP Go iznākšanas būs jauns PSP, kur nu vēl ar 720p grafiku - manuprāt, tas būtu pārāk dārgi un riskanti to tagad izlaist. Tad jau drīzāk labāk ir koncentrēties uz feinas spēļu bibliotēkas izveidi, nekā dzīties pakaļ vējam. PSP2, manuprāt, nebūs ātrāk par 2011.gada novembri.

Ar spēļu īri Microsoft neņemsies. Pārāk juridiski kutelīgs būtu šādas īres aspekts, turklāt, pieļauju, ka arī tehnoloģiski sarežģīti izpildāms. Kā arī jāņem vērā lielo spēļu veikalu tīklu lobijs, jo kaut kur jau neizbēgami ir jānopērk pati konsole. Ja Xbox 360 konsoles un spēļu uzturēšana veikalos Gamestop'am radīs zaudējumus, tad viņi no tā atvadīsies, plain and simple. Tamdēļ spēļu īres pakalpojumus labāk atstāt tiem, kas ar to jau nodarbojās. Drīzāk vajadzētu koncentrēties uz laicīgu demo versiju izlaišanu tautās - tas ir labāks selling point, turklāt bezmaksas.

Pārējie punkti varētu arī piepildīties, vai arī man par tiem ir vienalga.

Vispār izlasot tavas domas es atcerējos vēl vienu autora argumentu par PSP - Titles will be download only, something that should help Sony better protect their content..

Principā šis varētu būt arguments aprakt veco PSP un izlaist jaunu versiju ar dažām PS3 īpašībām (namely - neuzlaužamu).
Bet nu.. Sony neiet šajā paaudzē. Viņiem ir viena konsole, kas ir neuzlaužama, bet otra, kas ir izdrāzta visos caurumos, bet neiet kā viena, tā otra. Viela pārdomām!

(pretēji visām citām konkurentu kosolēm, kas arī ir atkostas pēc visiem parametriem, bet tai pat laikā ģenerē 'record sales' gan hardware, gan software sadaļās.


ā.. un par spēļu īri vispār arī 'tricky' jautājums.
Piekrītu tev par demo pārdošanas īpašībām un argumentāciju par veikalu tīkliem utt.
Bet par labu šādai spēļu iznomāšanas iespējai runā izstrādātāju vēlme cīnīties ar 'second hand' tirgu, kas ir otrā ļaunuma ass pēc Pirātisma. Atkal jau zog naudu no nabaga izstrādātāju makiem. + dažādi blakus produkti (ir jau tās dīvainās kastes, kas piedāvā/s iespēju spēlēt jebkuras konsoles jebkuru spēli ar pieslēgumu internetam) varētu likt pašiem konsoļu ražotājiem domāt par šādu iespēju ieviešanu.

Biju domājis, ka ne vienmēr populāras PS2/PS3 sērijas PSP spēli veido tie paši developeri - God of War: Chains of Olympus ir piemērs, kad neveidoja, bet Killzone: Retribution bija piemērs, kad veidoja

Ar awesomness te tiešām nav nekāda sakara (abi ir labi), centos oponēt Jumanji, jo uzskatu, ka portatīvo Uncharted, ja tāds būs, visdrīzāk veidos cita studija (ne Naughty Dog), drīzāk kāda Sony draudzīga studija ar pieredzi PSP spēļu ražošanā

Daudz interesantāk, manuprāt, būtu paskatīties 2009 gada pareģojumus un paskatīties, cik lielā mērā tie piepildījušies. Palīdzētu arī novērtēt šos.

Uncharted, kā mēs zinām, uz PSP neiznāca
un NGP oficiāli tika anonsēts šā gada janvārī

mana sākotnējā skepse bija visai pamatota (lai gan teju teju nošāvu greizi, jo rummori jau par NGP bija 10. gadā un Uncharted laikam ka tomēr būs.. tikai uz jaunā aparāta un vēlāk) : )
