EA vakar , ka jau rīt, 31. oktobrī, iekš XBL Marketplace būs pieejams Mirror's Edge demo. Es jau vispār gaidu...

Tik tikko izgāju demo versiju un secināju, ka šo spēli es nepirkšu. Neko daudz jau negaidīju, taču spēle (demo versija) uz mani atstāja pilnīgi nekādu iespaidu. Vienīgais, kas ļoti patika bija grafika. Spēle ir ļoti skaista. Īpaši pievilcīgi bija personāžu modeļi. Taču geimplejs necik neaizrauj, (bet tas laikam tāpēc, ka spēles pirmajās stadijās vēl nav iespēju izpildīt dažādus sarežģītus combo lēcienus), jo pēc katra kritiena ir jāuzsāk nevis viss līmenis (kas būtu šausmīgi ilgi un kaitinoši, bet tomēr interesantāk), bet gan tieši pirms kāda noteikta lēciena. Spriedze uzreiz pazūd. Visi tie sarkanie objekti uz kuriem fokusējas spēles varone vienalga ir dažreiz grūti pamanāmi un dažviet to vispār nav redzes lokā, tāpēc var aizskriet citā virzienā un tad sākt nbo jauna tieši pirms tā leciena vai šķēršļa.
Protams tā ir tikai demo versija un ir par ātru kaut ko spriest par spēli kopumā, taču es par to savu naudu neatdotu.

Demo ir pilnīgs craps, spēle noteikti neatpaliks. Protams, mani , jo, cik zinu, daudzi fano par EA DICE projektu arī pēc demo iečekošanas

izskataas, ka shii speele tiks noteikti nopirkta, kad cena nokritiis (decembra vidus 2008?!) - muuzikas un dinamikas deelj.. patika demo, kaadas 6 reizes gaaju, nu super!!!!

man arī demo šķiet aizraujošs! vairākas reizes iziets, but I still can' get enough of it!!

Pievienošos spēles pircēju klubiņam - man tā tiešām šķita aizraujoša. Protams, nevar spēli objektīvi vērtēt no tās demo versijas, taču, ja pārējā spēle ir kaut uz pusi tikpat aizraujoša un fast-paced, kāda ir tās demo versija, tad tā tiks nopirkta - ne uz relīzi, taču pēc vēlāka price-drop gan. Man jau patīk visādas perversības, kā lēkāšana pa jumtiem, wall-run un jump-attack'i - tādas spēles kā Assassin's Creed un Prince of Persia triloģija man bija kā medus maize, tamdēļ arī šī spēle šķiet pirkšanas vērta, sevišķi ņemot vērā tās innovatīvo garu. Vienīgais jācer, ka spēles story arī būs gana aizraujošs...

Iepatikās spēles stills. Grafiski atgādina Portal. Tip maz unikālu tekstūrīšu vis tāds vienkārš taču tai pat laikā lieki nekrīt uz nerviem. Doma ļoti iepatikās par skraidelēšanu un lēkāšanu turpu šurpu un atpakaļ. Doma pirt man nav taču ja kāds izies un varēs iedot paspēlēšanai ar prieku to darīšu. Sliktākajā gadījumā lietotu kopiju varētu nopirkt.

Electronic Arts and DiCE released this trailer announcing the upcoming DLC for Mirror's Edge, to be released in January. As expected it's time trial levels, but the graphical style is interesting.

Guildford, UK. – Dec 4, 2008 – Leave the city behind! DICE, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio (NASDAQ: ERTS), today announced that the highly acclaimed first-person action adventure title, Mirror’s Edge™ will release downloadable content (DLC) for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and the PC in late January. DICE also confirmed today that the PC version of the game will ship to retailers in North America on January 13th and worldwide on January 16th, 2009.

Players will be challenged to achieve the fastest times possible on nine races across seven all-new and totally redesigned Time Trial maps. No guns, no cops, and no city: this is true aesthetics, agility and flow that will challenge any runner. This special DLC pack will be available for $10 USD or 800 Microsoft points. As an added bonus, all PLAYSTATION 3 Mirror’s Edge fans will be able to download an additional map for free.

“The freedom of movement and control in first person has been the most popular aspect of Mirror’s Edge so we decided to distil these down to their purest form for this map pack,” says Owen O’Brien, Senior Producer, DICE. “We deliberately chose a more abstract aesthetic that is still within our distinctive art style and then focused on flow and gameplay to create an experience and challenge very different from the main game.” Time Trial is a popular mode in Mirror’s Edge that challenges players to find the fastest route across various maps. Players can upload their best time to the Mirror’s Edge leaderboards for their friends to download and compete against. Players can see their friend’s ‘ghost’ run as they race their way through the course to the top of the leaderboards.

Mirror’s Edge was awarded “Best Xbox 360 Game” at the recent GC Developers Conference in Leipzig, Germany. It also received the “Best Action Game” of Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) by IGN and the Game Critics Award for “Best Original Game” at E3 in July. Mirror’s Edge delivers players straight into the shoes of Faith, a modern day heroine who traverses the vertigo-inducing cityscape, engaging in intense combat, fast-paced chases and challenging puzzles. With a never-before-seen sense of movement and perspective, players are drawn into Faith’s dangerous world.
