Gamer Storage Buyer's Guide

AK Rock Box

The Rock Box from AK Designs is perhaps one of the cleverest designs we've seen for music game peripheral storage. Capable of storing two guitars, a microphone, a foot pedal, and a drum kit, the AK Rock Box is a comprehensive storage solution. Instead of simply storing the peripherals, the AK Rock Box is also serves as a stand for the drum kit via a built-in scissor lift stand. After a quick tilt of the ottoman's lid, raising the drum controller, and plugging in, players are ready to rock to rock.
The AK Rock Box has a "leatherette" fabric exterior with a fairly minimalist design for seamless integration with just about any décor. Unfortunately such storage efficiency does come at a price, and gamers looking to reap the benefits of the AK Rock Box should be prepared to drop a pretty penny – as of press time, the AK Rock Box is currently on sale (with free shipping) on Amazon for $173.58.

Astro Gaming Headset Hanger

For dorm environments or other neighbor-conscious settings, gaming headphones are an absolute necessity. With gamers unwilling to sacrifice competitive edge by turning down the volume and nearby friends and family refusing to sleep amongst a flurry of gunfire and explosions, the privacy provided by an enclosed gaming headphone system is a perfect compromise. Still, gaming headphones aren't without their problems; for one, unless you invest in a purely wireless system, there are bound to be a lot of wires involved. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do to solve the entanglements caused by a wired gaming headset, but there is at least one sweet way to store and display your personal audio gear: the Astro Gaming Headset Hanger.
Granted, the Astro Gaming Headset Hanger is designed specifically for use with the HP Blackbird gaming PC (another product designed by the team at Astro), but for users without a Blackbird, the Headset Hanger's mounting system can also be adapted to wall-mounting situations as well. Designed to cradle and display your headset, the Headset Hanger is a simple and efficient way to keep your gear readily accessible.

Brave Space Design Tetrad Flat Shelving

On the software side of things, one of the simplest ways of storing your ever-growing library of games is to invest in a shelving unit of some kind, but rather than simply piling all of your games into a bland wooden bookcase, why not do it with a little classy gamer style, like the kind provided by Brave Space Design's Tetrad Flat Shelving?
Inspired by the legendary Game Boy game, Tetris, the Tetrad Flat shelving system is a custom, made-to-order solution for shelving needs of all shapes and sizes…so long as they are geometric and fit together. Prospective shelving consumers beware, however, these custom shelves from Brave Space Design cost roughly $120 a block.

GameOn Video Game Console Storage

For those looking for a little more function and a little less form, the GameOn Video Game Console Storage system is a handy, all-inclusive gaming storage solution. With space for a single console, roughly 10 games, and hooks on the side for controllers and guitar peripherals, the GameOn system is ideal for those with single console rigs and a limited game collection. The GameOn shelf can be mounted to a wall and can support up to 50 lbs. of hardware, software, and accessories.
For proper console ventilation, the GameOn system features s-shaped ventilation slits on the left and right panels, and additional rubber extendable wire organizers can be purchased to eliminate wire clutter. For those in need of a little extra software space, the GameOn solution can be paired with the company's Stash Box shelf, which can hold a larger collection of games.

Pats raksts
